The Forester’s Retreat
Featuring it’s own private pub!
The Forester’s Retreat is a private rustic Cabin on wheels set in it’s own garden. This hand built getaway was built using reclaimed and local materials. The cedar cladding that covers the walls inside is from Rick Stein’s fish restaurant a few miles away and the wood burning stove makes the space super cosy especially if the weather isn’t so great outside.
A comfy bed to fall asleep in whilst listening to the owls outside at night in the nearby woodland.
The Forester’s Retreat has it’s own “Tiny Pub” right outside the door complete with bar and potbelly stove. The perfect place to relax with your drink of choice after a day exploring the nearby coastline or the rugged moors whilst cooking your tea in the outdoor kitchen.
Important stuff
Check in between 3-6pm and check out 10am. Bring torches, wellies, waterproofs and matches/lighters!
We kindly request that you leave the space as you found it & no shoes inside please!
Washing
There are plenty of showers, a variety of gas or wood fired, plus a wood fired bath. Each accommodation has their own private compost loo. Shared outdoor washing up areas.
Sleeping Arrangements
One double bed. Pets welcome free of charge.
Heating, lighting & bedding
Bed linen and towels provided. Log burner inside. Tea lights.. Mill Valley is off-grid with no electricity. No plug sockets!
Cooking
Outdoor kitchen adjoined to the pub with BBQ/smoker. Pots, pans, plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, cutlery and a kettle provided. All cooking facilities at Mill Valley are wood fired. Guests are welcome to bring their own camping stove in case of typical Cornish weather!
Wood
The first bag of logs is provided free of charge, extra bags are available to buy at our shop (£6 per bag).
